What We Believe

The Doctrine of
The Messiah

The foundation upon which this assembly stands — the identity, teachings, and commandments of the Messiah as revealed in the scriptures.

These are some of the doctrinal principles and foundations of Church of the Messiah. Together with our 31 principles, they make up the teachings of the Messiah and instruction from the Most High.

These doctrinal principles and teachings allow us to study, teach, and walk in the way of truth that the Most High has called us into.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17

The Identity of the Messiah

“It is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah…” Yahshua the Messiah, the Son of the living God, is from the tribe of Judah. He preexisted as the Word, became flesh to shed His blood for the sins of the people, and now sits at the right hand of the Father until His second coming.

The Law and Commandments

The law of Moses and the Ten Commandments give us the knowledge of sin. They are a way of life that shows us how to properly love the Most High with all our hearts, souls, and minds, and how to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Repentance and Baptism

We repent for our past sins, which are our transgressions of the law, are baptized in the name of the one and only true Messiah, and walk in newness of life through obedience to God’s laws and commandments.

The Identity of Israel

The true children of Israel are from the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They suffer from the curses of Deuteronomy 28 and are scattered into all nations as prophecy confirms. In the end times, the true children of Israel will be gathered together and placed in their homeland at the second coming of Yahshua the Messiah.

The Coming Kingdom

We believe in the thousand-year reign of the Messiah and the coming Kingdom of God on earth.
